More Goodies for good girls

The Twinns were outside on the balcony. Caitlyn and Dawn were reading, Sarah and Carruthers were taking a nap while Brenda and Amanda were playing with Waffles and Godzilla. It looked like it was going to be a long hot day today, with thundershowers later on.

I had been to the post office and collected a box of goodies from Jo and the Twinns in Pennsylvania and I gave it to them. "Jo has sent along some goodies for you girls, enjoy and don't throw anything over the balcony, you know the neighbours still haven't figured out how that pumpkin landed in their garden."
The once lethargic Twinns suddenly had lots of energy. "Oooooh, I wonder what's inside this box?" asked Dawn, "Maybe there are chocolates."
"Or lots of lovely books", Sarah said wistfully.
"Maybe its Carlisle coming for a visit". Said Brenda.
Amanda settled the speculation for once and for all, "Only one way to find out! lets open it!"

 |
"Oooooooooooh yummy, lots and lots of pretty dresses and clothes and shoes and stuff!"
"I don't know where we would be without Jo", said Caitlyn.
"Yes, she has sent us so much clothing and 2 new friends and new hair and we have met some very nice Twinns too." Said Dawn earnestly.
"Well, I think we should each put on a pretty dress for Jo and show her how nice we all look now". said Amanda, having given the matter some thought.
"That's a great idea. who is first? Amanda, you are top of the alphabet, go change quick." Caitlyn said, obviously intent on being the compere for this fashion show.
Amanda dashed off, clutching a dress and some shoes. "Back in a moment!!!"
The Twinns arranged themselves by the "catwalk" and soon Amanda was striding along, Waffles on her lead.
"And here comes Amanda wearing her famous Sunday outfit with pink and purple flowers and trimming, she is accompanied by Waffles, a rare breed of Twinn dog. Matching pink socks and shoes complete this ensemble, making Amanda look like she is off to the party where she will be the belle of the ball."
Everybody clapped, "Bravo! hooray!!"

Brenda volunteered to be next and quickly changed into her outfit.
"And now, in an awesome creation, we see Brenda in her purple dress with puffed sleeves and flowered overdress. This creation has a very full skirt and its not advisable to wear it in the wind, but its wonderful for parties and will make any Twinn glow with pride."
There were cheers and shouts of approval. Poor Brenda felt a little shy because of all the attention. "Who's next" she asked.
|
|
"And here comes Sarah Willow, in casual wear. This outfit will make any Hippie envious with its rows of coins and beads. A matching knitted bag and denim hat ensure that our Twinn is comfortable and yet practical at the same time. Perfect hot weather gear."
"I like that", said Dawn, "lots of spare change available."
"And so comfy too I bet." said Brenda from within the folds of her voluminous dress.
|
|
Then it was Dawn's turn.
"Dawn is wearing a mustard and yellow creation from "The House of Penn". This dress is just great for the casual look, or for those dressy occasions. Note that detachable hair and sheepish grins of pleasure are optional extra's."
There were hmmm's and aaaah's all around. "Looking good Dawn!!!" Sarah said.
Dawn, for once was somewhat at a loss for words.
"Ok Cait, it's your turn."
|
|
Caitlyn found a pretty dress and took her turn on the ramp. "And here is Caitlyn, looking cool, calm and collected in a pretty pink frock with white shoes and a shy smile. No air-cons are required when you wear such a cool dress. Give her a big hand!!!"
The Twinns cheered and clapped. This was such fun!

Yet there was more to come. Jo had kindly made each Twinn a name bracelet and each put hers on and they all held hands for the picture. No more fighting over bracelets! everybody has their own! (Including Godzilla who was hiding) |
 |
They stood together for a final picture and waved. "Thank you Jo and the Twinns in Pennsylvania, we love our new stuff and we really appreciate everything you have done for us."
