The last time I saw a ship called Rotterdam was in Durban, and she was a beaut. Fortunately she managed to weather the storm that happened around her and eventually ended up in the Port of Rotterdam. Since then a new Rotterdam came on the scene and I was really curious to see what she looked like. The Holland America Line ships are generally very good lookers, or they were until the advent of the cookie cutter ships.
The only design change I would make would be to give her a nice raked mast, and a better drop off at the decks by the stern. She is an attractive ship though, and I believe they are very beautiful inside too. The twin side by side funnels is a nice touch, now if only they would try her in a lighter blue, or maybe a grey, just like her namesake.
