The Marietta National Cemetery, Cobb County, Georgia. USA.

These photographs were taken in May 2004 at the Marietta National Military Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. USA. The cemetery was built on land donated to the federal government by Henry Greene Cole who donated the land for burying both Union and Confederate soldiers. It has an acreage of 23.3 with 18742 interments. There are memorials to the 405 men of Wisconsin who are buried in the cememtery, as well a Pearl Harbour Survivors Association Memorial. The Marietta National Cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on 18 September 1998. Images open in a new window.
