The War Memorial in Basingstoke is a beauty, situated in a small square close to War Memorial Park it is really magnificent. I have replaced my original image of the memorial as I was able to get other images a week later. (Images open in a new window/tab)

Still festooned with wreaths from Remembrance Day, it was designed by LF Roslyn, and erected at the London Road entrance to the park in 1923.
