Railway Collections and Museums do not really feature much in South Africa. Probably the best one still going is the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George. The other major museum would have been the Transport Museum in Heidelberg, although that has been closed for a number of years. There is also a small collection in Uitenhage, and of course there is the debacle known as SANRASM, but that is another story for another day. There is also a concentration of locos at Gold Reef City, as well as the locos at Reefsteamers and Friends of the Rail. I hope to present some of the images of these collections and museums where I have pics available. Naturally as times have changed so the exhibits have, and the images here may not be true reflection of the museums at the time of reading this page.
