There are a number of Rand Revolt graves in Braamfontein Cemetery, although they are mostly related to police and military casualties, the civilians ended up mostly in Brixton. The grave of the Hanekom Brothers is interesting because it falls within what is roughly known as the “Prison plot”. There is supposedly a mass grave close to the one fence of paupers and unidentified casualties of the Rand Revolt, but I did not see any evidence to support the idea, however, it is not to say that it does not exist. There is a possibility that they may be the graves of “non-Europeans” caught up in the fighting.
