Dundee and Districts War Memorial

In November 2017 I was made aware that a Remembrance Day service had been held at the memorial and the images posted showed additional plaques that were added in 2016. The images are used with permission of the Talana Museum, and were taken by Norman Leveridge. (images open in a new tab)

A man, and member of the Masonic Lodge, E.H. Richardson, who was a Captain in “C” Company, 5th Battalion, South African Native Labour Corps drowned on the Mendi, he is commemorated on the Hollybrook Memorial to the Missing in Southampton, along with the other men from the Mendi who lost their lives 21 February, 1917.
